Armenia’s Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation into the killing of three Armenian servicemen by Azerbaijani shelling this week, the law enforcement agency said on Friday.
Lieutenant-Colonel Nahapet Margaryan, Sergeant Hovhannes Sukiasyan and private Edvard Hovhannisyan were fatally wounded after Azerbaijani forces shelled Armenian border posts near the town of Jermuk on September 28.
The criminal proceedings have been launched under Article 155 (Part 2) of the Criminal Code.
