Opposition MP criticizes Pashinyan's statements at televised interview
MP Aram Vardevanyan of the opposition Hayastan bloc has deplored Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements at an interview to the Public TV Company aired late on Friday.
"The Madrid Principles are criticized by a man who signed a deal which our troubles stem from – the agreement of November 9, 2020. I suggest comparing the Madrid Principles to any document signed by the current authorities that we have been dealing with for over four years,” the deputy wrote on Facebook.
“The tombstones are spoken of by a man during whose rule thousands of heroes were martyred,” he said.
Vardevanyan also blamed Pashinyan for mishandling the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiation process and starting the talks from “his own point”.
“It’s impossible to rally around a man making false claims and promoting a split in society even at this critical moment. I believe today it became evident also to those who tried to picture it,” the MP said.
