Court allows MP Armen Gevorgyan to travel to Strasbourg for PACE session
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction has allowed Armen Gevorgyan, an MP from the opposition Hayastan bloc, to travel to Strasbourg to attend the autumn plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and meetings of PACE committees on October 10-14.
The legal team of Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan said in a statement on Tuesday that lawyer Lusine Sahakyan petitioned presiding judge Anna Danibekyan to allow her client to leave the country from October 9 to 15.
The court granted the motion which was not opposed by the prosecutor.
