Tatoyan: Azeri authorities encourage violence against Armenians
Armenia’s former Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Arman Tatoyan, who currently runs the Tatoyan Foundation, reiterates that the acts of violence against Armenians are encouraged by the Azerbaijani leadership.
“The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office has already called the video depicting the brutal murder of Armenian prisoners of war by the Azerbaijani Komando unit “fake”, and has expressed serious doubts about other videos,” Tatoyan wrote on Facebook on Friday.
“I have offered plenty of evidence that these crimes are encouraged by the Azerbaijani authorities. This is further proof that they promote impunity for crimes against Armenians.
“This is an integral part of Azerbaijan's policy of Armenophobia,” he underscored.
The appalling video which circulated on social media on Sunday shows Azerbaijani troops executing several unarmed Armenian soldiers captured during the mid-September attacks.
