Expert: Azerbaijanis hacked over 200 Armenian websites overnight
Azerbaijanis hacked more than 200 Armenian websites overnight, information security expert Samvel Martirosyan said on Thursday.
The websites of the Artsakh Ministry of Finance, Gyumri municipality, South Caucasus Railway, Byurakan Observatory, Conservatory, a fuel supply company, a pharmacy, as well as personal accounts were among those hacked, the expert told Panorama.am.
“In all likelihood, the hosting service provider was hacked, so all the websites hosted by it were also cracked," he said.
Martirosyan noted that the hackers used the sites for Azerbaijani propaganda.
"An investigation is needed to find out how the websites were hacked," Martirosyan said.
