Deputy FM: EU technical group due in Armenia today
A technical group from the European Union will arrive in Armenia on Thursday to discuss the deployment location of a civilian EU mission alongside the border with Azerbaijan, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan told reporters.
The EU ambassadors on Tuesday agreed to dispatch a civilian mission to Armenia's border with Azerbaijan to build confidence and help them delimit the border.
In response to the question that the CSTO has also expressed readiness to send observers to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the official said: “We are open to all proposals which would enhance our security in order to avoid the situation we had in September.”
