Armenian deputy FM thanks Swiss MPs for solidarity
Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan on Friday hosted a Swiss parliamentary delegation made up of MPs Stefan Müller-Altermatt, Michel Matter and Secretary General of the Switzerland-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group Sargis Shahinyan.
Welcoming the guests, the deputy FM thanked the Swiss lawmakers for their solidarity with the Armenian people. He also highlighted their contribution to the development of Armenian-Swiss relations, the Foreign Ministry reported.
The sides discussed a number of issues related to Armenian-Swiss relations, including parliamentary cooperation.
“The meeting also addressed the regional security and peace. Paruyr Hovhannisyan briefed the Swiss parliamentarians on the situation following Azerbaijan’s aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia,” the ministry said.
