Armenia's SJC asked to allow arrest of judge Arusyak Aleksanyan
Armenia’s chief prosecutor has asked the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) overseeing Armenian courts to allow the criminal prosecution and arrest of Arusyak Aleksanyan, a first instance court justice.
“Pursuant to Article 161 of the Judicial Code of Armenia, Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan filed today a motion to the Supreme Judicial Council to allow the judge’s prosecution and arrest with respect to the exercise of her powers,” the Prosecutor General's Office told Panorama.am.
The law enforcement agency gave no other details.
