Armenian defense minister off to India
A delegation led by Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan left for India on a working visit on Tuesday, the Defense Ministry reported.
According to The Economic Times, India will supply missiles, rockets and ammunition, including indigenous Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers, to Armenia over the coming months.
The government to government route was used to sign a number of contracts for the supply of arms and ammunition to Armenia earlier in September.
While the value of the contracts has not been revealed, it is estimated that weapons worth over Rs 2,000 crore (about $250 million) will be supplied to the country over the next few months.
