Aliyev, Erdogan attend opening of new airport in occupied Karabakh town
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Thursday attended the inauguration of a new airport in Kovsakan, a town in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) occupied by Azeri troops during the 2020 war, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Azerbaijani media.
This is the second airport to be built in the Azerbaijani-occupied territories of Artsakh.
In October 2021, Erdogan joined his Azerbaijani counterpart in the official opening of an airport in Varanda.
A third airport is planned to be constructed in Berdzor.
