Artsakh official: Baku goes for gradual escalation and provocation of situation
Artsakh’s State Minister Artak Beglaryan reacted to Azerbaijan’s latest ceasefire violation on the border with Armenia, underlining that Azerbaijani troops also used mortars to shell Armenian military positions.
Azerbaijan's military opened fire at the Armenian army positions in the eastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border just after midnight on Thursday, using different caliber firearms as well as mortars, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
“Note that Azerbaijan tonight increased the caliber of ceasefire violation against the Armenian armed forces at this time using also mortars,” Beglaryan tweeted, sharing the ministry’s statement.
“It means that Baku goes for gradual escalation & provocation of the situation. Impunity always generates new crimes,” he added.
