Georgian Defense Ministry delegation visits Armenia
On the sidelines of cooperation in the field of social protection of servicemen, a delegation of the Georgian Defense Ministry’s Social Affairs and Psychological Support Department visited Armenia on October 19-20.
Alexander Avetisyan, head of the Social Security Department of the Armenian Defense Ministry, received the delegation. The Georgian delegation was briefed on the system of benefits and guarantees for service personnel and their families under the Armenian law as well as the government programs to that effect. Other issues related to the social security of servicemen were also discussed.
Agreements were reached regarding future cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The Georgian delegation also held meetings in the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
