Medvedev invites Musk to Moscow for Victory Day celebrations
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev on Friday invited US billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk to Moscow for Victory Day celebrations next May, TASS reported.
"See you in Moscow on Victory Day!" Medvedev wrote in reply to the US businessman’s question of how it was going in Bakhmut on Twitter. Bakhmut is the Ukrainian name for Artyomovsk where Ukraine has been deploying its reserve troops and fighting is ongoing.
The two started a conversation on Twitter on Thursday, when Medvedev said "bye, bye" in English to British Prime Minister Liz Truss who had announced earlier on Thursday that she would step down. The top Russian official also jokingly congratulated lettuce, echoing a bizarre British competition between the shelf-life of the vegetable and the length of Truss’s tenure in office as British PM. Musk commented on Medvedev’s posting, saying that was a "pretty nice troll."
