Pashinyan: Armenia's trade turnover with EAEU countries grew 74%
Armenia's trade turnover with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states reached $2.8 billion in January-August this year, an increase of 74% from the same period last year, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Friday.
Speaking at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan, Pashinyan said that exports from Armenia doubled, while imports increased by 58% in the eight months.
"At the same time, with all the opportunities provided by the common market of the EAEU, we retain the specifics and requirements of national legislations and, if necessary, we apply safeguard measures for our domestic markets in response to new challenges," he added.
