Victoria Aleksanyan's 'Crossing the Blue' to have its international premiere at Cinemed Festival
“Crossing the Blue” directed by Victoria Aleksanyan will have its international premiere in the Short Film Competition section at the prestigious Cinemed - International Mediterranean Film Festival Montpellier, the second largest French film festival after Cannes.
The film represents Armenia at the competition among 20 other great films from many other countries, the National Cinema Center of Armenia reports.
Victoria Aleksanyan is also selected to participate at Cinemed’s industry section meetings to pitch her new feature film project at the From Short to Long program.
“Crossing the Blue” was produced by Hoshkee Film (Armenia) and co-produced by CineSud (the Netherlands). The production has been supported by the National Cinema Center, Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), Creative Armenia, AIWA, and Laurel Karabian Fund for the Arts.
The 12-minute film tells the story of Anoush, who left Armenia to flee from her abusive husband, but has to return years later, leaving behind her only reason for living.
