Pashinyan congratulates Chinese leader on re-election after Sargsyan's message
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the occasion of his re-election as the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the PM's Office reported.
It comes after the congratulatory message sent to the Chinese leader by Armenia’s third President Serzh Sargsyan.
Pashinyan’s message reads:
"Your Excellency,
I warmly congratulate you on the successful holding of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and convey to you my best wishes on the occasion of your re-election as the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CCP.
I am confident that under your leadership, the central role of the Chinese Communist Party in the path of the steady progress of the People's Republic of China and the development of the friendly Chinese people will continue to strengthen.
We are ready to make efforts to deepen the multilayered agenda established between Armenia and China. I am sure that with joint efforts we will succeed in raising the Armenian-Chinese political dialogue to a qualitatively new level and enriching the pages of the history of our centuries-old friendship with new achievements for the benefit of our two friendly peoples.
I wish you good health, new successes, fruitful activities, and peace and well-being to the friendly people of China."
