Pashinyan: October 27 terrorism was an attack against Armenia's sovereignty
The Armenian government members paid tribute to the victims of the 1999 armed attack on the Armenian parliament on its 23rd anniversary commemorated on Thursday 27 October.
“The October 27 terrorist act was an attack against the Republic of Armenia, its sovereignty and independence, the government elected by the people,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the start of the cabinet meeting.
He asked the officials to hold a minute’s silence in tribute to the victims – Speaker Karen Demirchyan, Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan, Deputy Speakers Yuri Bakhshyan and Ruben Miroyan, Minister for Operational Affairs Leonard Petrosyan, MPs Armenak Armenakyan, Henrik Abrahamyan and Mikayel Kotanyan.
