Swine flu strain detected in Armenia
The H1N1 subtype of the influenza A virus (swine flu) has been confirmed in Armenia as a result of laboratory research as part of anti-epidemiological supervision, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention said on Thursday.
The center urges people to get vaccinated against the seasonal influenza to avoid falling ill and developing serious flu-related complications.
"All clinics across the country, including outpatient ones, and mobile vaccination centers are provided with vaccines against the seasonal influenza. Anyone can go there for flu shots, regardless of the area of their residence," it noted.
