Female MPs hold campaign in Yerevan ahead of Saturday's rally
Two female lawmakers from the opposition Hayastan bloc on Friday held an awareness campaign in central Yerevan in advance of a rally in France Square on Saturday.
The MPs, Kristine Vardanyan and Aspram Krpeyan, walked through the city center holding red balloons to warn of the threat of war looming over Armenia. The balloons symbolize “enemy drones and other weapons which may hit Yerevan.”
“They were holding an awareness campaign ahead of tomorrow's rally, and these balloons symbolize Bayraktar drones that may explode at any moment, for example, over the Cascade,” lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan wrote on Facebook after coming across the MPs in downtown Yerevan.
