Opposition MP: Artsakh needs radical changes
Armenian MP Tigran Abrahamyan of the opposition Pativ Unem faction calls for sweeping reforms in Artsakh to overcome the major challenges facing the country.
His comments came after entrepreneur Ruben Vardanyan was appointed new Artsakh state minister and vested with more powers than his predecessors last week.
“It is too early to say whether the appointment of the new state minister will lead to a complete change of government, but political, personnel, tactics, cultural and ideological changes are strongly needed in Artsakh,” the MP wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
“It's still unclear what the new priorities of the government will be, to what extent they will be implemented or whether they will lead to qualitative changes in Artsakh, but the fate of Artsakh, among many other factors, largely depends on the full realization of Artsakh's potential and an effective system of governance.
“Radical changes should take place in Artsakh smoothly and as soon as possible. The current situation in Artsakh and the rule of surrenderers in Armenia increasingly reduce the potential of resistance and struggle in the two countries.
“Despite the current difficult situation, I reiterate that we still have a chance to make a breakthrough,” Abrahamyan said.
