Harut Makyan's 'Next Station Paradise' to screen at int'l film festival in Poland
“Next Station Paradise”, a state-financed short film by Harut Makyan, has been included in the competition program of ZubrOFFka International Short Film Festival to be held in Bialystok, Poland from December 7-11, the National Cinema Center of Armenia reports.
“We congratulate the film’s creative team, extending our best wishes for their continued success,” the center said in a Facebook post on Thursday.
The protagonist of the story, Adam, a 23-year-old promising poet, lives in a small provincial town and is wearing a mask of "the local crime lord" in order to protect his close friends from possible criminal pressures. Eventually, he feels determined to get out of the "pit", but not all stories end well.
The film stars Levon Hakhverdyan, Nerses Avetisyan and Hripsime Nahapetyan. The producers are Vahe Keshishyan and Harut Makyan. The film has been produced by HK Productions and À Partir De 18/6.
