Armenia's NSS reveals another case of treason
The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia has uncovered another case of treason.
According to a NSS statement on Tuesday, an Armenian citizen, identified only by his initials as E.A., who was called up by the Defense Ministry for a three-month military training in August-November 2021 and possessed classified data, was recruited by a foreign agent via Facebook.
The man used WhatsApp application to send secret data on his combat position, its location, the number of the military personnel guarding the post and weapons to the foreign intelligence service. In exchange, he received nude photos of his alleged interlocutor.
He has been arrested as part of a criminal case opened by the NSS Investigation Department.
The preliminary probe is underway.
