Yerevan court agrees to hear police suit against fallen soldier's father
The Administrative Court in Yerevan has agreed to hear a lawsuit filed by the police against Garik Galeyan, the father of Armenian soldier Mkhitar Galeyan killed in the 2020 Artsakh war.
The police have requested the court to hold Galeyan to account for failure to obey lawful orders of police officers under Article 182 of the Code on Administrative Offenses, Panorama.am has learned from DataLex, an online database providing real-time information regarding court cases in Armenia.
He is facing a penalty of 50 times the minimum salary if found guilty.
Judge Robert Makeyan of the Administrative Court has scheduled a preliminary hearing in the case for 17 January 2023.
