Armenian opposition MP comments on resignation of his fellows
The political views of resigned opposition lawmakers have not changed, opposition Hayastan faction secretary Artsvik Minasyan claimed on Wednesday.
Three more lawmakers representing the Hayastan alliance, Vahe Hakobyan, Hripsime Stambulyan and Yelena Kirakosyan, have resigned from the National Assembly recently.
"There have been no changes. As part of tactical changes, they considered that the MP mandate is now exhausted and nothing remains to be done in the parliament,” Minasyan explained.
“Meanwhile, we believe that it is still possible to change something,” he said, stressing the need to constantly “expose the lies and anti-national activities” of the incumbent authorities. “The public is apparently misled," the lawmaker said, adding the Armenian leadership continues blaming the former authorities for the country’s defeat in the 2020 war.
"We should be able to expose these manipulations," Minasyan added.
