Tigran Mansurian honored with YSU gold medal
Rector of the Yerevan State University (YSU) Hovhannes Hovhannisyan awarded a YSU gold medal to world-renowned composer, People’s Artist of Armenia Tigran Mansurian.
The ceremony was held at the YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center on Wedneday.
At the meeting, Mansurian praised the invaluable role of the university in the country’s scientific achievements. He highlighted that Armenia was considered a center of science back in the Soviet era.
“I believe our scientific thinking should be at the forefront of state running, which has always been the case,” he said.
Summing up, the maestro urged students to study well to ensure the continuous development of science in Armenia.
