Armenian scientists create device measuring fatigue in humans
Armenian scientists have created a device that measures fatigue in humans and determines their mental state.
The instrument was developed by scientists from the Institute for Physical Research at Armenia’s National Academy of Sciences (NAS) with the support of the PSI company and in collaboration with their colleagues from Yerevan State University and the Levon Orbeli Institute of Physiology, the NAS said on Tuesday.
The device, called Stabilograph, consists of eight single-layer flat-coil-oscillator (SFCO) sensors. It can be used both in medicine (neurological screening, post-stroke rehabilitation) and in sport/fitness (fatigue and muscle performance monitoring).
The results of comprehensive testing of the device will be published in the American journal Review of Scientific Instruments (AIP) in 2023.
