Expert: Majority of Armenians surveyed by Gallup are opposition-minded
The approval rating of Armenia's ruling Civil Contract party is only 17.5%, Azerbaijan specialist Anzhela Elibegova said on Monday, citing the latest public opinion survey conducted by the respected polling group Gallup.
“It may well stand at around 20% if we add to this the rating of small pro-government parties,” she wrote on Facebook.
“I don't remember such a figure even after the war, though I could be wrong. The other 80% are opposition-minded, but only a small percentage of them support the parliamentary opposition,” the expert said.
She added that the Public Voice party led by Vardan Ghukasyan, better known by the nickname Dog, is among the top six parties with 1% rating.
