Uruguay's president reiterates support for Armenia
President of Uruguay Luis Lacalle Pou met with members of the Armenian National Committee (ANC) of Uruguay. Health Undersecretary José Luis Satdjian also attended the meeting, the ANC International reported.
At the meeting, the president was briefed on the aftermath of the recent Azerbaijan invasion of Armenia and the humanitarian situation following Azerbaijan’s military aggression against Armenia and Artsakh in 2020.
Luis Lacalle Pou stated, for his part, reiterated Uruguay’s solidarity with Armenia and its people, especially in these difficult times. He expressed support for the stance and decisions of the executive authorities and the two chambers of the parliament regarding Armenia.
