Artsakh-Armenia road remains blocked
The only road connecting Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia remains blocked by the Azerbaijanis, the Artsakh police reports.
A group of Azerbaijanis have blocked the Stepanakert-Goris highway outside the town of Shushi since Monday morning, citing environmental reasons.
“In a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, Azerbaijan infringes upon the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Artsakh Armenians once again,” the police said in a statement.
“Right now, hundreds of citizens are stranded on the Lisagor-Shushi and Stepanakert-Shushi roads blocked on ostensibly environmental grounds since 10:30am," it added.
