Protest in support of Artsakh held in central Yerevan
A protest in support of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) was held in downtown Yerevan late on Tuesday afternoon following the blockage of the sole road connecting Artsakh to Armenia by Azerbaijan since Monday.
Despite the wet weather, many people gathered at Liberty Square to sound the alarm on the threats and humanitarian crisis facing the Artsakh people. Some of the protesters also brought their young children to the square.
"Stop the genocide in Artsakh!," the protesters demanded.
After making brief statements, they headed towards the UN Office in Yerevan.
