Canada urges Azerbaijan to unblock Lachin corridor
Canada calls on the Azerbaijani authorities to unblock the Lachin corridor connecting Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) to Armenia and the outside world.
“Canada is closely monitoring the closure of the Lachin corridor,” the country’s foreign ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
“We call on the Azerbaijani authorities to reopen the corridor and ensure freedom of movement to avoid any potential humanitarian impact.”
The ministry also urged Armenia and Azerbaijan to continue negotiations to resolve issues though peaceful dialogue.
