Azerbaijani blockade of Artsakh-Armenia road enters fourth day
Azerbaijan's blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the sole road connecting Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia, entered the fourth day on Thursday.
"Given that the gas supply from Armenia to Artsakh is also blocked in the Azerbaijani-held area and Artsakh is deprived of [natural] gas, we call on the Artsakh residents to use energy and fuel sparingly," the Artsakh InfoCenter reports.
In case of additional questions, people can contact the hotline at 119.
The blockade began on Monday morning, when a group of Azerbaijanis, who claimed to be environmental activists, stopped traffic on the only road connecting Karabakh to the outside world, citing “illegal” mining activity in the area. Later on Tuesday, Azerbaijan also cut off the gas supply to Artsakh.
