Official: Struggle against total Azeri blockade of Artsakh continues
An advisor to Artsakh’s state minister, Artak Beglaryan, on Friday announced plans to continue the protest outside the UN Office in Yerevan against the ongoing Azerbaijani blockade of the Lachin corridor, the sole road linking Artsakh to Armenia and the outside world. Azerbaijan also cut off the gas supply to Artsakh, which was restored on Friday.
“Although Azerbaijan has just restored the gas supply to Artsakh, the lifeline remains closed, with the people of Artsakh under a total blockade,” he said in a social media post.
Beglaryan reaffirmed that a protest would be held outside the UN Office in Yerevan at 3pm Friday.
“We also keep on with the sit-in outside the UN Office in Yerevan. The struggle continues, join us!” the official said.
Beglaryan and several others started an indefinite sit-in outside the UN Office on Wednesday.
