Armenia's Greta Vardanyan bags gold at Para Powerlifting World Cup
Armenian weightlifter Greta Vardanyan has earned a gold medal at the Fazza 12th Dubai 2022 Para Powerlifting World Cup held on December 15-18.
Competing in the women’s 55 kg category, the athlete successfully lifted 85 kg, 90 kg and 93 kg to win the world title, the Armenian sports ministry reported on Sunday.
Vardanyan was accompanied by Hakob Abrahamyan, Vice President of the Armenian National Paralympic Committee. Her coach is Artak Nersisyan.
The competition brought together 243 athletes from 40 countries.
