Rep. Pallone joins call on Biden to break Azerbaijan's blockade of Artsakh
Congressman Frank Pallone, Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, has joined a letter calling on U.S. President Joe Biden to break Azerbaijan's blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
“Joined my colleagues on a letter to POTUS urging him to take action to ensure the safety of the people of Artsakh after Azerbaijan has imposed a blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the only road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia, endangering thousands,” he said in a tweet on Monday.
The letter, spearheaded by Congressman Adam Schiff on Friday, condemns Azerbaijan's blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the lifeline connecting Artsakh to Armenia, and, by extension, to the outside world. The blockade began on 12 December and has affected 120,000 Armenians, including 30,000 children, who are without access to food, medical supplies, transport and other essential goods.
