Ruben Vardanyan denies rumors about re-opening of Lachin corridor
Azerbaijan’s blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) continues, Artsakh’s Minister of State Ruben Vardanyan said on Tuesday, denying rumors that the Lachin corridor linking Artsakh to Armenia has re-opened.
In a Facebook live video, he said the Azerbaijanis remain standing on the roadside and can block traffic along it whenever they want.
“We reiterate that this is unacceptable. They have to get out of there completely and not impede the free movement of vehicles," the minister said.
Vardanyan urged the Artsakh people not to fall for fake news spread by Azerbaijan as part of its information warfare.
“Yes, the situation is very unstable and not clear to everyone, but we have to do everything possible to have clear security mechanisms in place," he said.
