13 children in intensive care in Artsakh hospital amid Azeri blockade
Non-urgent surgeries remain suspended in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) hospitals to save medicine amid the ongoing Azerbaijani blockade, the Artsakh Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday.
13 children are in the intensive care and neonatal care units at the Arevik Medical Center.
One of them, a 4-month-old baby suffering from visceral leishmaniasis, remains in grave condition. The baby is being treated through online consultation with doctors from Armenia.
Meanwhile, nine patients, including two critically ill, are undergoing intensive care at the Republican Medical Center.
Artsakh has been blockaded by Azerbaijan since December 12.
