Edmon Marukyan: No alternatives to reopening of Lachin corridor
Azerbaijan has to unblock the Lachin corridor, the sole road connecting Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia, Armenia’s ambassador-at-large, Edmon Marukyan, reiterated on Wednesday.
“Day 10 the whole world voiced that the Lachin Corridor must be opened and people of NK mustn't suffer for groundless demands of Azerbaijan,” he tweeted.
“There are no alternatives! As initially agreed in Washington DC, international mechanisms must be established to deal with all issues between NK and Azerbaijan,” Marukyan added.
The blockade was imposed by Azerbaijan on 12 December and has affected 120,000 Artsakh Armenians, including 30,000 children, who are without access to food, medical supplies and other essential goods.
