Serzh Sargsyan's office reacts to reports of court summoning
The office of Armenia's third President Serzh Sargsyan has reacted to reports that the ex-president and his two daughters have been summoned to the Anti-Corruption Court early next year as part of a criminal probe concerning illicit assets forfeiture.
"All questions will be answered in court. Another fiasco is also expected in this case,” the office said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Much more pressing problems facing our state and people, including our compatriots in Artsakh, have to be addressed today. We, as a nation, are facing major challenges which any Armenian should be concerned about all the time. Nothing else matters at this point and is aimed at distracting the people’s attention,” reads the statement.
