Azerbaijan plans to spend $12 billion to 'restore' occupied Artsakh territories
The Azerbaijani authorities intend to spend 20 billion manats ($12 billion) to “restore” the occupied territories of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Sputnik Azerbaijan reported on Saturday, citing the executive director of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, Vusal Gasimli.
"It is planned to spend 20 billion manats on the reconstruction of Karabakh as part of a new program," he said, according to RIA Novosti.
Gasimli said about 9 billion manats ($5.3 billion) had been allocated for reconstruction in the occupied areas so far.
