Beglaryan: Some 60,000-70,000 people attended Sunday's rally in Artsakh
Some 60,000-70,000 people joined Sunday’s rally in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to protest the Azerbaijani blockade of the only land link to Armenia, says Artak Beglaryan, an advisor to the Artsakh state minister.
“An estimated 60,000-70,000 people attended the rally in Stepanakert,” he wrote on Telegram. "The Aliyev regime and the Azerbaijani public should ask themselves how so many people gathered amid the blockade if, according to them, there are not even 40,000 people in Artsakh.”
For nearly two weeks, Azerbaijani “eco-activists” have blocked the Lachin corridor, Artsakh’s sole land connection to Armenia, to protest what they claim is illegal mining.
