Artsakh Armenians march to Stepanakert airport, seek meeting with Russian contingent chief
A group of people started a march to the airport in Stepanakert, the capital of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) blocked by Azerbaijan for nearly two weeks, late on Tuesday afternoon.
The protesters demand a meeting with Andrey Volkov, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, Artsakhpress reported, citing organizers.
The march comes one day after a massive rally held in Stepanakert's Renaissance Square demanding the immediate re-opening of the Lachin corridor, the sole road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the outside world blocked by Azerbaijan since December 12.
