'Who is lying?': Ex-MP reacts to authorities' statements on Russia-Belarus union
Armenian politician Artur Ghazinyan, a former MP who leads the One Armenia Party, has reacted to the recent contradictory statements of Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan and senior pro-government MP Andranik Kocharyan regarding the union state of Russia and Belarus.
In an interview to the Public TV Company on Monday, Grigoryan said Armenia “is under strong pressure” to join the union state.
Kocharyan dismissed his claims of pressure later on Tuesday, saying the issue of joining the union state was discussed back in mid-90s.
“There is a liar in the town,” Ghazinyan wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
“Who is lying, Armen Grigoryan or Andranik Kocharyan? They should find it out among themselves, and having found out, one of them should resign, because such lies could pose an existential threat to Armenia and cost hundreds of young lives,” he stressed.
