Ruben Vardanyan: Situation very difficult, but no inflation in Artsakh
Artsakh's State Minister Ruben Vardanyan on Wednesday held a meeting with retail and wholesale businesses, as well as restaurant owners to discuss the possibility of introducing certain rules amid the crisis following the Azerbaijani blockade of the Lachin corridor connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia.
Vardanyan thanked the businessmen for their understanding and dignified conduct, noting that Artsakh has seen no inflation despite product shortages, his office reported.
“I know that you are working in difficult conditions and have to find solutions to various problems," he said. "I look forward to your proposals which will help us make better decisions. Without exaggeration, I have to say that we are in a rather difficult situation. But we, the government and the people, have to get through this together. There’s no other way to overcome it. Mutual understanding, mutual respect and transparent work are crucial for this, so that you don’t have the feeling of injustice. This is a principled approach for us."
Vardanyan assured the government is "open to hear out any opinion and proposal, to discuss and correct mistakes and find solutions together."
The participants of the meeting expressed readiness to support the government by all means.
