Artsakh patients transferred to Armenia in stable condition, health minister says
The three severely ill patients transferred from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia are in stable condition, Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told reporters on Thursday.
The transfer was facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Wednesday.
"They will receive all necessary medical care, but it does not mean that the situation is improving, since the humanitarian crisis is deepening with each passing day," the minister said.
She underscored that Artsakh is facing shortages of medicine, medical supplies and other basic goods amid the Azerbaijani blockade of the sole road connecting Artsakh to Armenia.
