New mom gifted a 'bouquet of radishes' in Artsakh amid Azeri blockade
A new mom in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) has been gifted a “bouquet of radishes” after being discharged from the hospital amid shortages of goods in the country resulting from the Azerbaijani blockade which entered the 19th day on Friday.
“Day 19 of the blockade: A baby was to be discharged from the maternity hospital, but no flowers were found (the lesser evil amid the blockade is empty flower shops), but after all, creative Artsakh people wouldn't leave a new mother without flowers,” Ashkhen Harutyunyan, an Artsakh stage actress, wrote on Facebook.
“Stay strong! Everything is going to be fine,” she added.
