Six players from Armenia on FIDE January 2023 rating list
The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has released its January 2023 ranking list.
The men's list features two chess players of the Armenian team, Gabriel Sargissian and Haik Martirosyan.
Sargissian sits 41st, while Martirosyan comes 57th on the list of top 100 players.
GM Levon Aronian, who currently plays for the U.S. Chess Federation, ranks 17th.
Norwegian GM Magnus Carlsen tops the FIDE list with a rating of 2859.
Armenia’s Elina Danielyan comes 35th, Mariam Mkrtchyan is 69th, Lilit Mkrtchyan is 70th and Anna Sargsyan is 85th on the women's list.
