Foreign minister calls for radical overhaul of Artsakh's state building strategy
Artsakh’s caretaker Foreign Minister David Babayan calls for a radical overhaul of the country’s state building strategy to overcome the challenges.
“The blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan, of course, has been expected. But, as it is said, until the thunder breaks out ... conclusions are not drawn,” he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
“What happened requires a radical revision of the entire philosophy and strategy of the state building process in Artsakh. This revision should concern both state programs, development priorities, and our daily life. Only in this way will we be able to overcome the challenges facing us,” the official said.
For over three weeks, large groups of Azerbaijanis posing as eco-activists have blocked the Lachin corridor, Artsakh’s sole land link with Armenia, to protest what they claim is illegal mining.
