French National Assembly speaker due in Yerevan
The speaker of the French National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, will arrive in Armenia on Thursday on a two-day official visit at the invitation of her Armenian counterpart, Alen Simonyan.
She will be accompanied by other French lawmakers.
The visit is aimed at strengthening the ties between the two countries’ parliaments and to reaffirm France's solidarity with Armenia in the current difficult situation, the French Embassy in Armenia reports.
The French speaker is expected to meet with her Armenian counterpart, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on the sidelines of the visit.
