Rep. Levin: U.S. must take steps to prevent crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh from escalating further
U.S. Representative Mike Levin has expressed grave concern over the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) amid the ongoing Azerbaijani blockade and called for efforts to prevent it from escalating further.
“This humanitarian crisis is of grave concern and I stand with the Armenian community here and abroad,” he tweeted.
“The U.S. must monitor this closely and take necessary steps to prevent this crisis from escalating further,” Levin stressed.
He was responding to a tweet by Nobel laureate Ardem Patapoutian reading: “We need the international community to pay attention to Azerbaijani government’s inhumane actions against Armenians. Many have condemned the blockade but action is needed.”
